George Habikeh’s unique approach to fashion design stems from his background in civil engineering and architecture. Habiqeh believes that fashion and architecture have “common principles” such as “how to apply creativity and careful attention to details”.
George Hobeika, Jad, his colleague and son, plays an important role in the evolution of this brand by overseeing artistic direction and business strategy in designing new collections. Judd’s vision is to preserve the main essence of this fashion house, “dreaming for women”, and combine time, innovation and elements of the day with this essence.
The fall 2024 collection continued the style of bare shoulders and tight waists. Crescent shoulder coats with their rigid appearance contrasted with silk fabrics and mermaid style clearly displayed the two sides of this fashion house’s coin, i.e. solidity and fluidity.
Habikeh says about this collection: “The play of darkness and light inspires the play of contrasts; With monochromatic silhouettes and cut-out nets and a pendulum that swirls around the body like a wild waterfall… matte is juxtaposed against shiny and faded against transparent to create forms that evoke a sense of illusion.”
George Hobeika, Black and white colors, a diverse range of vibrant colors from soft mint to pink, red and orange are included in this collection.
Walking in George Hobeika’s imaginary garden is like a memorable journey that highlights the sense of spectacle and craftsmanship of this fashion house at its peak.
