Chin Strap, One of the newest tricks is to use a snoring mask, snoring band, or snoring gun while sleeping, which is claimed to be a combination of beauty and health.
A gag is a strip of stretchy fabric that is wrapped around the head or ears to hold the jaw in place and is more like a face shield than a comfortable sleeping device. But, according to the New York Post, fans of these stretchers believe they can shape the jawline, eliminate puffiness, and also act as a facelift while you sleep. It is also said to be a cure for snoring, teeth grinding and sleep apnea.
Chin Strap, However, Dr. Daniel Barrett, a plastic surgeon from Beverly Hills, calls this new fad pointless and criticized it: “I don’t think long-term use of these elastics really affects your jawline.” He says there are no studies to confirm its positive effects, and its use cannot replace plastic surgery or weight loss to eliminate jowls or shape the chin line.
Dr. Michael Basiri Tehrani, a plastic surgeon, also explains to Yahoo Life that a compression bandage or other compression coverings are usually useful only after surgery to prevent fluid accumulation: “Even a healthy person who has not had surgery, usually after lying down and sleeping for a while It has less swelling by itself. Troxell warns that taking medical advice from the Internet is risky at best and dangerous at worst, and that “trends on TikTok that have no practical basis and are not recommended by doctors can cause real harm.”
