Kim Kardashian referenced two vintage Chanel looks at the fashion house’s pre-Oscar dinner on Saturday in Beverly Hills.
Kim At Pre-Oscar Dinner, The reality star and entrepreneur modeled a black corset dress with a tiered skirt from Chanel’s fall 1992 couture collection. Featuring a pleated mesh underlay, the design was originally modeled by Helena Christensen on the runway. Kardashian accessorized with diamond studs, velvet pumps and a miniature quilted handbag.
Stylist Dani Levi curated the Skims founder’s look for the occasion. Kardashian’s longtime hairdresser, Chris Appleton, styled her dark tresses in a bow-laden ponytail, a nod to Claudia Schiffer’s hair at Chanel’s fall 1995 couture presentation.

As for Kardashian’s makeup, she wore brown eyeshadow, rosy blush and a powder pink lip, done by artist Rokael Lizama.
Kim At Pre-Oscar Dinner, Kardashian has been known to favor vintage styles, selecting a white Mugler bodysuit dated to 1998 at the Academy Museum Gala last fall. She also famously modeled Marilyn Monroe’s dress at the 2022 Met Gala — the exact same sheer, crystallized frock Monroe wore to serenade President John F. Kennedy in 1962.
Last month, Kardashian attended the Fifteen Percent Pledge Gala in Los Angeles, where she sported a backless leather Balmain gown.

Kim At Pre-Oscar Dinner, Fashion designer Aurora James’ Fifteen Percent Pledge was founded in 2020 following the murder of George Floyd, asking companies to reflect the Black community by dedicating 15 percent of their shelf space to Black-owned brands.

This year’s gala, cohosted by Fifteen Percent Pledge chairwoman and Skims founding partner Emma Grede, raised $3 million for Black-owned businesses.
