Milano Fashion Week Men’s Under The Shadow Of Alessandro Michele
Milano Fashion Week: This is the second time Michele has offered a complete collection for a limited time.
This season, Milan Men’s Fashion Week turned upside down on Monday, June 17, with a completely unexpected show; When Valentino released pictures of the first collection designed by his new creative director, Alessandro Michele, he caused a stir online.
Milano Fashion Week, Michele, who was scheduled to make her runway debut at Paris Fashion Week in September, pleasantly surprised everyone by unveiling an unexpected collection of 171 looks, according to The National.
What happened can be called a kind of repeat of history, because this is the second time that Michele presents a complete collection in a limited time. When he took charge of Gucci in 2015, he had only two weeks to bring his ideas to the stage. Of course, he had almost two months in Valentino this time.
Milano Fashion Week, Entitled Avant les Debuts, this new collection is full of Michele’s personal signature and intricate layering, with ruffles, intricate designs, embroidered details and even fur cuffs, many of which will be instantly recognizable.

However, the unveiling of his first collection for Valentino, released just hours before the Gucci menswear show, cannot be a coincidence.
Michele’s successor at Gucci, Sabato de Sarno, also presented his second men’s collection around the same time, this time centered on surfing.
Milano Fashion Week, Consisting of short shorts, boxy shirts with dolphin and marshmallow prints, and round-toe flip flops that look like men’s versions of ballet flats, a popular women’s fashion this summer, the collection was energetic and fresh.
Mac coats (a type of raincoat) arrived in glossy leather with foam-rimmed sunglasses and bold colors expertly combined, such as green or lilac with dark chocolate brown.
Milano Fashion Week, Given that de Sarno is still establishing his footing at Gucci, the use of color was a little too reminiscent of Pierpaolo Piccioli’s Valentino days, and the cuts were a little too close to the Prada aesthetic, but overall comfortable, wearable, and promising we’re arriving.
